Choose how many digits the top and bottom numbers have, pick carrying (mixed, none or always), choose vertical or horizontal problems and how many, then press Print or Download PDF.

Can I make addition worksheets without regrouping?

Yes. Set Carrying to “No carrying” and every problem adds without regrouping — ideal when children are first learning column addition.

Can I make addition worksheets with regrouping only?

Yes. Set Carrying to “Always carrying” and every problem needs at least one carry, so students practise regrouping on every question.

What grade is 2-digit addition with regrouping?

Most curricula introduce 2-digit addition with regrouping in grade 2, and 3-digit addition with regrouping in grade 3. 1-digit addition facts are kindergarten and grade 1.
