Amazing Bees

Bees are amazing insects that live in large groups called colonies. A colony can have up to 80,000 bees! Inside their hive, worker bees build a honeycomb from wax. Bees fly from flower to flower collecting nectar, which they turn into honey. A queen bee lays up to 2,000 eggs every day. Bees are very important to our world — they help plants grow by carrying pollen from flower to flower. Without bees, many fruits and vegetables would not grow.
